Interlude Black Iris Man is the latest introspective creation of the Amouage maison. The fragrance evokes an atmosphere of disorder, while maintaining a sense of balance and tranquility thanks to the creative use of orris, frankincense and myrrh. A blend well orchestrated by technical ability and creative integrity, the fragrance takes an instant in time, an interlude, to be dedicated to self-reflection and self-discovery to compose inner harmony from external chaos.

Interlude Black Iris is a spicy and woody Eau de Parfum created by the perfumer Pierre Negrin with a concentration of 25% of perfumed oil.

Harmony resonates in the heart of Interlude Black Iris Man. Spicy bergamot, rosemary and violet leaves evoke - as Amouage says - perpetual intervals of conflict contrasted by notes of amber, incense, cistus and myrrh. A layer of iris rhizome absolute and vanilla smoothes the heart of the composition. The base offers a rich texture of leather, smoked agar wood, patchouli, sandalwood and cedar wood which add lasting depth and consistency.

DIFFERENCE WITH INTERLUDE EAU DE PARFUM

Interlude Black Iris Man is an Interlude Man flanker. It uses a refined palette to smooth out the facets of the original creation. A complex game of dark and stoic serenity and vibrant buried power that bursts upwards, towards the light.

Interlude Black Iris Man has several differences compared to Interlude Man. The notes of oregano and rosemary have been attenuated resulting in a slightly more radiant and wet opening thanks to the addition of violet leaves. The rhizome of iris adds an extra layer of buttery softness to the heart of the fragrance, integrating vanilla. Finally, the overall woodiness of the composition emerges faster than the original.
